Training - the cornerstone of BHYC
At Brading Haven Yacht Club we are passionate about training. We are a recognised RYA Training Centre with qualified instructors and run training courses throughout the year. We cater for everyone, from the very youngest cadets to experienced adult sailors looking to further their knowledge and skill. All our training is hands-on, with RYA instructors giving full support and our own Club boats always available. And our aim is simple - to promote safe and enjoyable boating for everyone!

Courses suitable for adults..
RYA Dinghy Level 1-3
As an accredited RYA Training Centre, we offer the adult RYA Dinghy Level 1-3 course - an ideal entry into becoming an independent sailor and to progress with more specialised courses later on.
RYA Powerboat
The Powerboat Level 2 course is open to all age 12 and above, and we offer this RYA course to all members. An ideal course for all owners of powered craft, whether planing boats such as RIBs, displacement boats such as motor cruisers or for larger dinghies equipped with outboard motors.

RYA Marine Radio SRC course and exam
This can be completed on-line, but we also offer a cadet course at BHYC so cadets can get qualified to use a marine VHF radio. Link to RYA Course Information
RYA Seamanship Skills
