Racing

Racing at BHYC is an all-year-round activity, with most being organised in a series of up to 12 races over the course of a few weeks. Points are awarded and totalled, with prizes awarded to the top three places. During the winter months most races take place within the shelter of the harbour, and from Spring onwards, weather permitting, they are held outside the harbour. Support and safety cover is provided by our own Ribs and Committee boat. All the racing results are recorded HERE

Cruising and recreational sailing

The cruising section of BHYC organises a number of trips from Spring through to Autumn each year, with many picturesque harbours and anchorages to choose from in Solent waters. Recent trips include Bosham in Chichester Harbour, Port Solent and the Hamble. The cruising section comprises a mix of yacht and motor-boat owners.

For those with day boats such as the Swan, Enterprise, Wanderer etc, day sails are a popular option. There are several nearby beaches and neighbouring yacht clubs to sail to, including Priory Bay - very popular for day trips with Cadets - and RVYC at Fishbourne.
